Making your website easier to use: an in-house usability testing case study

Timeslot:
Friday, 3:45pm - 4:45pm
Track:
Site Building
Experience Level:
Beginner

Two years ago our organization re-launched our website with the goal of making it a go-to place for resources in our field. A year later we surveyed users and found that while they love the resources, they hate not being able to find them. The website had grown unwieldy. This session will examine our project undertaking an in-house usability test, demonstrate the software that we used for the testing, and show some of the results and how we analyzed them. Attendees will gain ideas from this case study about ways to assess, test and eventually improve a website, based entirely on the feedback provided by website users.
